Veed delta-9 THC gummies: the US edibles we added in 2024
Veed gummies are vegan sweets made in the United States and infused with delta-9 THC, the main psychoactive compound in cannabis. We added them to our new products in October 2024. At the time, Deli Hemp was the first CBD wholesaler in France to offer them. This article describes the product as it was launched and what a retailer needs to check before putting it on the shelf.
What are Veed gummies?
Each gummy contains a fixed, labelled amount of delta-9 THC: 10 mg per piece. The ingredient list is short:
- sugar and glucose syrup;
- water, pectin and citric acid;
- delta-9 THC;
- food flavourings.
Pectin replaces gelatine, so the gummies are 100% vegan. That matters on the shelf, because it widens the range of customers who can buy them.
Which cannabinoids do they contain?
The delta-9 THC in Veed gummies is extracted directly from cannabis flowers (Cannabis sativa L.). Some versions combine it with CBD, so the gummy contains both cannabinoids in a set ratio printed on the pack.
A product with strict legal limits
Delta-9 THC is not CBD, and edibles that contain it sit in a sensitive legal area. Several of the cannabinoids sold in edibles are classified as narcotics in France and in other European countries, and their status changes quickly. Check the law in your own country before buying or reselling this kind of product. More generally, rules on hemp products vary from one country to another and can be much stricter than in France (in the UK, even the status of hemp flower is still contested).
Food rules have also moved since this range was launched. Since 15 May 2026, France's food safety directorate (DGAL) has banned foodstuffs containing CBD, which is not an authorised Novel Food in the EU. Gummies that combine THC and CBD are affected by that ban in France.
How do gummies differ from other formats?
Compared with oils and sprays, which many customers find earthy or bitter, gummies taste of fruit: peach-mango and raspberry were among the flavours. Each piece carries a fixed amount of delta-9 THC stated on the label, which makes the pack easy to read for both staff and customers.
Compared with flower, gummies are discreet and easy to carry. They give off no smell, which some customers prefer.
How to choose a gummy range for your shop
- Content per gummy. Veed states 10 mg of delta-9 THC per piece. The figure must be clear on the pack.
- Ingredients and origin. Veed gummies are made in the United States from carefully selected ingredients and are fully vegan.
- Flavours. At launch, the range came in strawberry, grape, mango-peach and watermelon. The flavours still listed are in our delta-9 category.
What the pack says, and what your staff should repeat
The warnings on the pack are simple, and your team should know them by heart:
- for adults only;
- not recommended for pregnant women or people with high blood pressure;
- keep out of reach of children and pets;
- do not drive or do anything that requires full attention after use;
- anyone on medication or with a health condition should ask a doctor first.
For anything beyond these warnings, refer customers to the information printed on the pack.
