Wholesale CBG, CBN and CBC: which cannabinoids should a CBD shop stock?

CBG and CBN sell mainly as resin: in our range, between €0.60 and €0.75 per gram excl. VAT in 100 g bulk, before discounts. You will also find them as pollen, trim, isolate and vapes. CBC, on the other hand, is still rare on the European market, and we do not stock any at the moment.

These molecules appeal to shops that want to broaden a CBD range without adding yet more flower strains. You still need to know what you are selling, where each molecule comes from and what to read on the lab report before you order.

How do CBG, CBN and CBC differ from CBD?

All four are hemp cannabinoids, but they appear at different stages of the plant's life. CBGA (cannabigerolic acid) is the starting molecule: the plant then turns it into CBDA, THCA or CBCA. That is why it is often called the “mother cannabinoid”.

CBG is therefore present only in small amounts in a mature plant, since most of it has already been converted. CBG-rich products come from strains bred to keep more of it, or from concentration in a lab.

CBN forms in a different way: it is a breakdown product of THC, caused by heat, light and time. Commercial CBN is most often produced by conversion in a lab. The direct consequence for a retailer: the batch report must show a compliant delta-9-THC level, and that is the first thing to check on any CBN product.

CBC (cannabichromene) comes from CBCA. It remains a minor compound in the plant and is rarely available as an isolate at a price that works for resale in a shop.

We describe no effects for these molecules, and we suggest you do the same in store: you are selling a composition, an aroma and a format, not a promise.

Which CBG and CBN products do we have in stock?

Prices per gram excl. VAT for the 100 g bulk format, recorded on 22 October 2026. The maximum discount applies to the total quantity ordered of a product, across all formats.

Two caveats on this table. Bulk stock of the CBG pollen and the CBN Super Dry resin is almost gone (200 g and 300 g): for larger volumes, use the pouches or ask about the next delivery. The CBN isolate is also in our range, but its bulk format is out of stock at the time of this update.

How do you fit these molecules into a CBD range?

Start small, and start with resin. It is the most requested form for both CBN and CBG, the easiest to display next to CBD hash and the cheapest per gram. A shop trying them out can take two lines, one CBG resin and one CBN resin, in 1 g pouches, and watch how they sell over a month.

Present them as resins in their own right, with their texture, colour and cannabinoid level, rather than as “versions” of CBD. Keep them together, with a label that clearly names the main molecule: a customer looking for CBN should find it without having to ask.

What should you check on the lab report for a CBG or CBN product?

The same points as for CBD, with extra attention to THC. Check that the batch number on the certificate matches the product delivered, that delta-9-THC stays below 0.3%, and that the stated CBG or CBN level roughly matches the label. Levels vary from batch to batch, so always compare against the report for the batch you received, not an earlier one.

For a CBN product, ask for the THCA figure too and, if it is given, total THC: CBN made by conversion can keep traces of THC. Our guide to reading a certificate of analysis covers every line. The rules for reselling hemp products differ from one country to the next, and the status of hemp flower and resin in the UK remains contested: check what you may sell locally before you order.

Finally, the question of format. Since 15 May 2026, ingestible products containing CBD or other hemp extracts can no longer be sold in France, and across the EU added CBD in food still has no Novel Food authorisation. That is why the CBG and CBN oils are left out of this table, and why we advise against presenting them as anything to be swallowed.

Is CBN made from THC?

CBN forms naturally as THC breaks down with time, heat and light. Commercial CBN is generally produced by conversion in a laboratory. That is why the delta-9-THC level on the report for each batch needs reading before you resell it.

Why does CBG cost more than CBD?

A mature plant contains little CBG, because it has converted most of its CBGA into other cannabinoids. It takes selected strains or an extra concentration step. In our range, CBG isolate costs €0.80 per gram excl. VAT in bulk, against €0.325 for CBD isolate.

Do you sell CBC wholesale?

Not at the moment. CBC remains a minor compound in the plant and is rarely isolated at a price that suits retail resale. If a reliable CBC product with a batch report joins the range, we will update this article.

Should you order bulk or pouches?

To test a molecule, 1 g pouches are enough, and they count towards the discount tiers, since the total quantity of the product is what matters. The 100 g bulk format becomes worthwhile once sales are steady and you repack yourself.
