CBD packaging: how labelling and design help retailers sell more
Packaging does more than protect a CBD product. It is often the first contact a customer has with your brand, and it shapes how they judge quality before they have read a single line. A clear, compliant label reassures buyers, and a distinctive design helps you stand out in a crowded market.
Why packaging matters so much for CBD
The first point of contact with your customers
The cannabis and hemp market keeps growing, and shops compete for the same customers. Packaging is an aspect many retailers overlook. Yet beyond protecting the product, it plays a large part in how quality is perceived and in the decision to buy.
A well-made design that matches what your customers expect can make your products far more appealing on the shelf. Since the pack is often the first thing people see of your brand, it deserves as much attention as the product inside.
Reassuring customers: a compliant CBD label
What must appear on CBD packaging?
Compliant packaging for CBD products rests on a few key elements. You have to follow the rules that apply where you sell, especially on THC content, the origin of the hemp and health claims, which have no place on a CBD label. The label itself should show:
- the exact composition, with CBD and THC content;
- the net quantity;
- the best-before date;
- the batch number;
- clear instructions for use and storage.
Behind the label, production should follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and each batch should be lab-tested for purity, contaminants and compliance. A certificate of analysis (COA) documents those tests. Our products comply with French law (delta-9-THC ≤ 0.3%). Rules on hemp products vary from one country to another and can be stricter, and in the UK the status of hemp flower is still contested, so check what you may resell locally before ordering. Regulations also change, so plan to review your packs whenever the rules move.
How to make your CBD packaging more sustainable
Sustainable packaging that meets customer expectations
Many CBD buyers pay attention to the environmental impact of what they buy. The first lever is the material: recycled card, bioplastics or glass, which can be reused or recycled at the end of its life, like the bottles of CBD oils or CBD cosmetics. Cut out unnecessary plastic and keep designs simple and functional. Water-based or vegetable inks reduce the chemicals used in printing.
Packs that can be reused, such as glass jars or sturdy boxes, add a lasting dimension. To encourage recycling, print clear instructions on the label and display any certified environmental labels. Working with local suppliers that hold environmental certifications also cuts the carbon footprint of production and transport. Packaging that can be reused or recycled in a loop strengthens a brand's environmental commitment and becomes a point of difference in its own right.
How to stand out from other CBD retailers
Packaging that is both original and practical
Standing out takes more than selling products. Here are the levers that work best for a CBD retailer:
- Exclusive products: original blends, organic or premium references that customers will not find in the shop next door.
- Transparency: certificates of analysis available for every batch and full traceability of origin.
- Service: personal advice, reliable after-sales follow-up and a smooth buying experience, in store as online.
- Identity: an authentic brand story built on clear values, carried through to the packaging and the delivery.
- Education: informative content and partnerships with specialists build credibility.
- A niche: specialising, for example in products for pets or in CBD cosmetics, reduces direct competition.
Combined, these levers bring in new customers and build a lasting relationship of trust.

Our hemp-based products
From oils to cosmetics and accessories
Our CBD oils come in several strengths, and the 10% oil is one of the most popular with shops. For skincare, we offer hemp-based products such as a hemp moisturising cream, aimed at customers looking for natural cosmetics. We also supply quality vaporisers and accessories.
In November 2024, this range also included CBD sweets and hemp infusions. Since 15 May 2026, France's food safety directorate (DGAL) has banned foodstuffs containing CBD, which is not an authorised Novel Food in the EU, so these food products are no longer part of the picture for the French market.
Our products are lab-tested and comply with French law (delta-9-THC ≤ 0.3%).
Delivery times for bulk CBD orders
Reliable delivery matters as much as the product
We know how much our trade customers depend on reliable, fast delivery. Orders are dispatched with real-time tracking through trusted logistics partners, in France and abroad. For urgent needs in France, express delivery options are available. Outside France, we ship by Chronopost throughout Europe; shipping costs are calculated by weight and shown in the basket. Our aim is a smooth, punctual buying experience that keeps your business running.
